A Few Thoughts

I was wondering why I kept parrying half a circular sixte during RJ Invites and during training recently until I realized that it had to do with the new en guarde position I've been trying. I've been trying to enforce a deeper and more ideal en guarde with a closed target area and a parry sixte for the blade.

Unfortunately, I forget to compensate for this when I attempt a parry quarte, so when the blade comes in, my parry quarte stops short and I have to push it to half a circular sixte before it actually blocks, and I run the risk of a malparry, since it spends a LOT of time near my target area. I suppose I'll have to change my parries then.

And I need to stop doing the "machine-gun" remise. It's rather...ridiculous and it marks a return to my training phase when I hadn't learn to parry yet.

12SLC! Geez the chalet made me realize just how much I miss everyone, but it was awesome. When paparazzi Nicole gets back I'll grab photos and upload :D.
